Her discussions are ridiculous. Had a 90% in the class and then missed the second discussion. Went down to 65% after that. Her grading makes zero sense. Discussions are 10 points. She wants you to write 250-300 words, reply to 3 other peoples posts, and include surprising facts in your response whatever that means. Would not take her agin

She is an awesome person and teacher, Pearson is the main source of learning. It is time consuming and boring. Lots of discussions. it is hard to retain the Pearson information. Tests were pretty hard, but she is very understanding and helpful.

The entire class was on Pearson. Pearson itself was a little bit buggy and had issues. There was not much contact w/ Tanja, except for tests where we might have had issues. Tests taken at Testing Center and they were HARD. I ended up thinking I was prepared but the exam questions were not close to the things learned in lecture. 1 Notecard allowed.

The online tool for the class is understandable and relatively easy to navigate. The tests are killers and are required to be taken at the test center

I loved having her as a professor at TMCC. She tries her very best to make her students understand the material. I would 100% recommend her to anyone needing to take this course. She allows notes for exams as well!

Really good teacher, posts all lecture notes. Lots of in class notes. Homework is through pearson, and is time consuming. Can use cheat sheet on tests.

Her class was easy understand and most of the time will be working handouts with neighbors to get some ideas, check the answers, etc. However, you still need to go online to complete most of reading work and might need to take some notes, so you can be able to answering questions. In her class, she only talks about the importain info.

Tanja doesn't really teach. I had a 7 week online class and she used Pearson Revel. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is on that platform. It is sometimes glitchy and also slow for me, so lessons take a while. Pearson will be your teacher and the platform where you do your homework / notes. It's an easy class so don't stress.

Pearson is your teacher. There are no lectures for any follow up or any clarification for reading the material or how to do equations. The program itself doesn't teach you how to solve (on some) problems how to do it until you get it wrong. Pearson is very wordy where it doesn't make sense that Google would do a better job at explaining.

Took this class online for 7 wks. Hayes is an amazing professor. Provides timely and useful feedback. I had some trouble with the online platform, but she was very understanding about the situation. She also provides additional videos on topics to change things up if you get bored of listening to the same speaker online. Overall, take her class!

Tanja used Pearson Revel which is very user friendly. I found the homework quite easy, so spacing it throughout the week was convenient around my other classes. You are only graded for the online homework, two exams, and discussions. She also offers extra credit towards exams. Be aware that she does not round up grades no matter how close you are.

Hayes' Econ102 online class was great learning. I registered for the class for my degree, not much interest in economics. This class was awesome. You will need time management & taking notes was a huge help. I recommend her if you are looking at who to pick for your class.

Took Tanja for ECON 102 over a seven-week. It was great, she didn't teach (as expected for asynchronous classes) but had really good resources and responded back on discussions and essays. You do need to buy Pearson Revel for the class, which can be a bit fidgety, but it is a really good resource.

One of the most caring and empathetic professors I have ever had. Her course load is amazing, and when she assigns Essays (which in themselves are only about 600 - 700 words) she clears out the whole week of assignments so students can focus on writing. Her exams are easier than the jacked-up Pearson online HW. Just a phenomenal class and professor

Professor Hayes Is truly the best econ professor a TMCC I took both ECON 102 and 103 with her all online and they both were super easy. All the homework is done through revel, there are about 4 - 6 discussions total, one midterm and one final. Make sure to read and pay attention to graphs because most of the concepts are demonstrated through those.

Tanja is a great instructor! I took Macroecon online, and while the content was not overly easy, I learned a lot from her and from her power points. I didn't really use the book, but Quizlet is an excellent resource for this class. Tanja is very caring and accommodating. Read the power points, study, and do the easy extra credit and you'll do fine.
