I took Murphy for Anatomy 224 last summer. The subject is hard, but Murphy does his best to explain and have his students understand the material. He is an odd character, but he made the class entertaining. Study you have to study for this class! Get together with a couple of classmates and study together.

No matter who you take Anatomy with it is going to be hard if you do not put in the work. I had Murphy for both lecture and lab. His lectures are straight forward, his quizzes are based off lab work sheets, and he does not try to trick you. He gives study guides for his practical's and exams and not to mention lots of extra credit opportunities

Overall tests are tough, but gives great study guides and information on what will be on the tests. He has some videos recorded to rewatch for extra studying. He is quick to respond to questions. I would definitely take his class again. If you do the work and extra credit you will easily pass the class.

A&P will be hard, no matter whom you take it with. Peter will make you do the work, it's true. On the positive side, he uses massive curves, responds fast, and stays to the point. If you did fine in other science classes, you'll get your A. He is also the sanest choice among everybody else in the biology department for this class.

His online practice quizzes are very difficult as well as his in-person exams. It makes it hard as he does not provide any answer key sheets for the lab worksheets, you have to figure it out yourself and if you have a question, you email him don't ask questions in class as he gets mad. He makes it very difficult to learn, would not recommend him.

Would never recommend him to anyone. He is a tough grader, gets mad if you ask questions, his quizzes and exams are very hard, his power points are not the best as they are confusing, he says to study x thing and he ends up adding questions to your quizzes and exams that were not even on your study guide.

One of my favorites. The material is difficult, but he makes it easy to understand. Study guides clearly translate what is on the exams. Very accessible and pretty funny. Really knows the material. You will have to work for your grade but the payoff is worth it.

Murphy is my favorite professor ever! He really encouraged me to do well in class. Lots extra credit opportunities and big curves on exams. Read the textbook and take notes in class! Go to his lecture and lab, he made the exam based on his lectures.

He was an amazing professor, a bit quirky with the jokes but overall his lectures were very clear and there were no surprises on the exams. He made things make sense and make biology223 easy to understand. He was my favorite professor at all of TMCC. Take him.

I took the summer course for this. His tests are reasonable if u read the book and take notes during lectures. Many opportunities for extra credit and funny. If u need help, ASK. he will help. Use ALL resources he gives (RQ, quizzes, HW) to study for exams since he will pull ?s from there. Be ready to study, 224 is hard w/ whoever u take.

Professor Peter Murphy is not the best, yet he is not the worst. His study guides are not helpful for the exams and these exams are definitely surprising but in a bad way. The lectures are not bad, and he gives a laugh to everyone once in a while. The good thing, he does curve exams and gives extra credit after every exam but still STUDY ALOT.

Murphy is such an easy going guy, he's very helpful and understanding and he genuinely wants to see his students succeed. One tip I would give kids that decide to take he's class is that make sure you study and prepare for the practicals and the tests. If you need help, get the help. Don't be afraid to talk to him, he's very understanding and nice.

Peter is something else. His lectures are interesting because he likes to make little funny jokes or says things that are odd. I took this as a summer class so it was extremely fast paced, but he made it organized enough to stay on top of things. He broke up tests into parts, which was extremely helpful.

He was disorganized in his lectures and exams. Despite asking him for help on how to study and focus efforts for his classes I still found myself in exams wondering where course material came from. His slides have gaps in them, he is unclear in his explanations, and on top of all the confusion he makes crude sexual references in lectures and exams.

I will say he stepped in for someone else; but, what is inexcusable is that he says the class is behind, and go extremely fast in lecturing. On top of that, his power points have almost nothing on them, you go to class and write it down, if you don't get it there, you are not going to get it. And tests have stuff on them that he barely went over.

Peter is smart, but I think he lacks the ability to actually teach his material. He gave us study questions to prepare for the tests but then his tests are a completely different language. Also, he barely goes by the book because its wrong so you dont have something to go back on to teach yourself. Completely disorganized. Passive aggressive.

He is a very nice guy i'll give him that but the class is nearly impossible to pass. The material itself is not too difficult but his tests and the way he words questions makes it impossible to understand. Peter is a little all over the place when it comes to teaching. I got an A by skimming the chapter before coming to class so I knew what he was covering. However he gives good study guides and there is a clear guideline and expectations on the exam. Lots of easy extra credit if you do the homework. Super friendly and approachable.
