  From my experiences i would not recommend this class at all because she does not explain instructions, she would not give you a grade on assignments unless you did the work how she wants you to do it, she responded rudely saying that i did not read/study the lecture and she was offline most off the semester as a teacher.

  It would take the finest philosophers to describe the horrors of this course. She is an intro English teacher but acts like she's Edgar Allen Poe himself. She constantly makes students question their abilities in her class. A minor typo could cost you 10% of a paper's grade and her feedback is horrible. Save yourself the time, effort, and tears.

  I think she needs to rethink teaching English. She will knock down a numerous amount of points for simply adding an extra 1 on the works cited. She also creates her own rules for English, deriving from the overall general meaning of the class itself. She waits until the end of the semester to grade but she wants everything in on time.

  I cant even begin to explain how awful she is. She lists grading criteria, and when you follow it you get a bad score regardless. Her feedback is really bad, and does not help whatsoever. I do not recommend if you want to pass english 101, please save yourself the stress and pick another professor.

  She is a good teacher other than the fact that there is a lot of assignments and we had a couple of papers. I took this online class hoping the teacher would be understanding about me having other classes but she definitely expects you to prioritize her class. The whole game simulator style she does her class, is confusing and puts on more work.

  Although her class is easy, I emailed her about not being able to find an online lecture, and she very rudely told me that I should already know where everything was. Sometimes she's detached and cold, and sometimes she's understanding and forgiving. I think she has a lot of mood swings. She also changed the assignment due dates a lot.

  I recommend her if you are serious about writing, but I wouldn't suggest you take her class if you are only looking to satisfy an elective. She will help you become a better writer and the class provides a lot of opportunity to exercise this muscle. She had a tough semester (Fall, 2021) but I wouldn't hold it against her in the future.

  No time to do work. Assignments appear Sunday and are due Monday Night. Doesn't grade essays so you can learn from your mistakes for the next essay. Absolute worst professor I have ever had. Had notes on assignments that if you did not turn in you would fail the course. Don't waste your time, select another professor. Did not learn from her.

  Although the textbook and the assignments for this class really push you in a good way, the professor makes the class very painful. She does not follow her own syllabus (changes assignment due dates at whim, grades late), gives little to no helpful feedback, does not lecture, and does not post in the online discussions.   Took her writing fiction class and I liked it a lot overall. She posts about a month or so of work at once so the amount of writing and reading is manageable. She is a tough grader but writing is something I enjoy so I liked the class but wouldn't recommend to someone who doesn't like writing.

  OMG I know we are going through a pandemic, but sheesh. This professor was slower than snail mail when it came to grading any and dare I say any "big ticket" papers in this easy breezy class, we started w 20 students and ended up with 8. Not tryna flex but I got above 100% in two of my other (way harder) classes and received a C- in this class.

  Horrible professor. Assigns so much work for a class that is teaching antiquated writing style. No one in the business world writes like this unless it specific to a position. Does not grade in a timely manner, assignments have incorrect due dates, rubrics are confusing. Awful experience all around.

  Cheryl is a great teacher. I actually took her Theatre 210 class, but that's not an option on RMP. Only 3 essays all semester, and you have a lot of time to work on them. Be warned: the final is HARD. Study. One quiz question per week with a few short discussion posts. Her lectures are long but entertaining. She has a great sense of humour!

  Get ready to read A LOT. If theatre is not your thing choose a different class. I personally decided to go for this class because I wanted to get my fine arts credit and diversity credit at once which is nice but not fun at all. I went into the class with an open mind thinking that maybe I would find a liking for theatre but it did the opposite.

  Cardoza did a fantastic job in the writing fiction class, I highly recommend it if you have an interest in writing. If you don't like practicing a lot however, this class is not for you. Really fun class, and I feel like a better writer after. Keep in mind I took this class for fun.
