Welcome to the new thread for news and discussions about Weekly Shonen Sunday!

Shonen Sunday is a weekly manga magazine published by Shogakukan since 1959, it's known as one of the 3 biggest shounen manga magazines in Japan history, with a current print circulation of around 190.000 copies per issue, is the home of many big anime & manga classics like Detective Conan, Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Gash Bell, Touch, Major, Ushio to Tora and etc. WSS is part of the shounen demographic with the focus in the male teenager audience but it has probably the most diversity line up of mangas compared to WSJ and WSM which is the strongest point of Sunday, it's also known for having a lot of "female leading mc" shounen series compared to the other two magazines.

Now with a pic. Hirakawa's artwork is always a joy to see.

Interest shot up a little for this. It was the one I was looking forward to the most (outside of Fukuchi's oneshot).

Talkback up! I enjoyed all three of the oneshots, but Atsumi's just hit in the right way for me. Hoping they come back with a new serial soon. All of the new series look like they could be interesting but Kusakabe's is probably the one I can't wait to see the most. What are you all most looking forward to now that we have a picture?

Same here. I was really hoping that their next work would work out since Yukosae really started to grow on me after it had fleshed out its cast of characters a bit more towards the middle of the story.

Aww, was really hoping we'd get two cours out of this.

Talkback up! Shirayama to Mita-san was mostly the oneshot with one small addition --a dedicated amount of days until the titular couple go to Tokyo. Not sure if this is better or not so much but the first chapter was still great so I'm feeling confident that we're in for a treat. Call of the Night, Komi, and Ogabebe had pretty good chapters and I enjoyed Nisemono a lot!
