My client, Anna, works in marketing and communications and wanted to refresh her hair colour and cut for fall.
Anna has naturally dark-brown and curly hair. She had never dyed her hair before and wanted to enrich the colour all while covering her grey hair. To level up her look, I enriched her colour using a rich chestnut-brown shade. Not only does the deeper colour complement her complexion, it also enhances her eye colour.

After cleansing her hair with Oribe Signature shampoo and conditioner, I applied Oribe Priming Lotion Leave-In Conditioning Detangler through her hair. Next, I cut her hair into a short-graduated bob and incorporated layers for added body and movement and to enhance her curls. Before styling I worked in Oribe Styling Butter Curl Enhancing Crème through the hair and dried it using a diffuser.
Makeup
We kept Anna’s look very simple as she is a minimalist when it comes to makeup. To even out her complexion I opted for a sheer beauty balm and a concealer to strategically brighten around the face and eyes. I warmed up her complexion with a light dusting of bronzer and blush. On her eyes, I applied an easy-to-use shadow stick liner in a metallic-brown shade and then coated her lashes with burgundy mascara.
Makeup used:
Foundation: Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 Illuminating Skin Veil
Concealer: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage #2
Bronzer: Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
Blush: Stila Convertible Lip and Cheek Colour in Peony
Eyeshadow: Essence Blend and Line Eyeshadow Stick in Full of Beans
