My Chinese BBQ Duck is made with ONLY 5 simple ingredients in an Air Fryer. Get your rice ready because this recipe will blow your mind!
To make my Chinese BBQ Duck Breast, you will need to get duck breast with the skin on.
You can marinate the duck breast and leave it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
The longer you marinate the duck, the more flavourful it will become.
I get my duck breast at Costco’s frozen section; I prefer using duck breast instead of a whole duck as it is easier to control the temperature.
The secret to crispy Chinese BBQ Duck Breast is to make sure the skin stays super DRY.
It is super important to pat the skin dry, as the skin contains alot of fat and burns quickly!
When you marinate the duck overnight, wrap the bowl with plastic wrap and poke holes so the air can flow through.
The air will help dry up the skin, which will ensure the duck comes out super crispy.
Halfway through cooking, turn up the air fryer, top the duck breast with a honey glaze, and the skin will become extra crispy!
My go-to marinade for Chinese BBQ Duck Breast requires only FIVE simple ingredients.
Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Five Spice Powder, Garlic, and Honey.
With the leftover glaze, you can boil it on the side and drizzle it on top of rice and vegetables when serving.
If you can’t find duck breast, check out my viral Air Fryer Soy Sauce Chicken recipe that is also super easy and delicious.
