Our FreeCell game offers 4 types of deals for you to choose from. These are found by tapping the play icon from the game's toolbar.

Random Deal: shuffles the cards randomly and consequently not all random games can be won and a game number may not be displayed on the game table. More information can be found about numbered deals in the about numbered dealsarticle found in this FAQ.

Winning Deal:A Winning Deal is guaranteed to have at least one winning solution, and if you have trouble finding the solution it can be shown to you by using Show Me How To Win. When a Winning Deal is dealt, a gold star will appear on the toolbar. Tap the star in the toolbar to show the Winning Deals display. This display shows information about your game play and a leaderboard with the top scores.

Daily Challenge:

There will be a unique, winnable, deal for each day of the year. These Challenges are available after midnight each day. Daily Challenges can be played for today's date or back two months for prior challenges.

Numbered Deal: Select a numbered deal (1 - 1,000,000) to play a predetermined deal. Numbered deals will allow you to compete with others but not all of these deals have a solution.These games will have a game numbered displayed on the table.

Replay: This will allow you to restart the most recent game played. Replaying a game before finishing the game will be counted as a loss in your statistics. Winning the same game consecutively will not increase your win streak.

As the game became popular, Jim Horne disclosed the algorithm, and other implementations of FreeCell began to reproduce the Microsoft deals. These deals are numbered from 1 to 32000. Newer versions from Microsoft have 1 million deals, numbered from 1 to 1000000; some implementations allow numbers outside that range.

What are the hardest FreeCell deals? ›

The deals are organized by their level of difficulty.
  • Easier Deals: 164, 7058, 15196, 27853, and 31316.
  • Difficult Deals: 169, 4368, 7700, 21278, and 31945.
  • Very Difficult Deals: 454, 661, 718, 1941, and 6182.
