How many seats are in the United Center for concerts? ›

If you are there for a concert, definitely try to sit as close to the stage or the sides of the stage as you can on the 100 or 200 levels. It is a sports arena and not acoustically perfect for concerts. The sound bounces around in the back of the place.

Guests have access to the United Center and the Rental Suite 1 ½ hours prior to the start of the game or event. For some special events (family shows, etc.), gates will open approximately 1 hour before the start time of the event.

Ok, so our seats were in Section 314, second row from the top, for $99 a seat I thought we might have something better. The seats up there are BRUTAL, so tight with the seats in front that my knee ached, and there is no elbow room at all.

Front and Center Is Better for Sight Than Sound

Snagging a seat just feet from the stage will give you a great view, but the sound won't be ideal. Typically, speakers are located on the side of the stage and are pointed toward the center of the venue.

Don't forget the United Center is a fully cashless arena; cash will not be accepted for food, beverage, and merchandise purchases.

If you purchased a standing ticket, get there EARLY, about three to four hours before doors open. If you purchased a seating ticket, you can actually be a bit late once doors open since your seat is secured and performers often start an hour to an hour and a half after doors open.
