Profession Changes in Dragonflight Patch 10.2
Patch 10.2 introduced these changes for Professions:
- New recipes have been added for Season 3.
- The following embellishments damage and healing valueshave been reduced by 35%: Frostfire Belt, Fang Adornments, Slimy Expulsion Boots, Toxic Thorn Footwraps, Acidic Hailstone Treads, Magazine of Healing Darts, Playful Spirit's Fur set, Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch, Spore Colony Shoulderguards.
- Amice of the Blue damage reduced by 30%.
- Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch self-damage increased by 33%.
- Dreamwalker's Healing Potion and Potion of Withering Dreams healingincreased by 19%.

Profession Changes in Dragonflight Patch 10.1
Patch 10.1 brought the following Profession changes:
- Many new recipes were added; you will find the specifics in our Professionguides.
- Profession recipe raid boss drops have moved to Aberrus on all difficulties(was Vault of the Incarnates on Heroic and Mythic difficulty).
- Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power is no longer bind-on-pickup.
- Potion of Chilled Clarity can no longer be canceled and now affectsthe global cooldown.
- Many Crafted Items now provide 25% more Stamina.
- Refreshing Healing Potion healing increased by 25%.
- Potion of Withering Vitality healing and damage taken increased by 25%.
- Allied Wristguard of Companionship Versatility per nearby ally increasedby 4%.
- Unstable Frostfire Belt damage increased by 109%.
- Venom-Steeped Stompers stat bonus increased by 1.4%.
- Acidic Hailstone Treads damage increased by 118%.
- Horizon Strider's Garments set bonus Haste per stack increased by 12%.
- Flaring Cowl damage increased by 40%.
- Slimy Expulsion Boots damage dealt increased by 118%.
- Toxic Thorn Footwraps stamina reduction increased by 25%, damage bonusincreased by 172%, and healing bonus increased by 102%.
- Playful Spirit's Fur set bonus damage and healing increased by 15%.
- Witherrot Tome damage increased by 151%.
- Weathered Explorer's Stave duration increased to 15 seconds (was 10 seconds).
- Fang Adornments damage bonus increased by 82%.
- Bronzed Grip Wrappings damage bonus increased by 82%, and healing bonusincreased by 102%.
- Blue Silken Lining Mastery while active increased by 5%.
- Magazine of Healing Darts healing increased by 102%.
- Amice of the Blue damage decreased by 9%.
- New Optional Reagents are available for upgrading items to a higher item level— Titan Training Matrix V and Enchanted Whelpling's Shadowflame Crestfor crafting Non-Spark Blue Gear and Enchanted Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest with Enchanted Aspect's Shadowflame Crest for Epic Spark Gear.
- Concentrated Primal Infusions now go up to 421 item level to match upgradesystems.
- To support the new Spark of Shadowflame, recipes that require a Sparknow let you choose which Spark to use in the required reagents section.
- Players can now purchase Crest of Honor and Trophy of Conquestfrom PvP quartermasters in Valdrakken. These tokens cost 525, 700, and 875 oftheir respective currencies and are used as Optional Reagents when crafting armorand accessories of identical costs. Items enhanced with these reagents will gainthe ability to scale to their appropriate PvP item level in Arenas and Battlegrounds.
- Elemental Lariat duration changed to 5 seconds (was 12 seconds);increased by 1 second per elemental gem equipped.
- Sockets added through the Season 1 Great Vault will be removed whenrecrafting an item to Season 2 levels (with a warning prompt).
- Added an option to swap the Professions recipe window to a minimal view toallow other windows to open side by side.
- Search bar for learned recipes has been added to the minimized crafting userinterface.
- Players can now minimize the crafting window to a reduced size for ease of use.
- Players can now click on a tracked recipe in their quest log to pop open asmall recipe window if they don't have the Profession.
- Tooltip size for Recipe Unlearned has been increased.
- Last season's Crimson Combatant recipes can now be purchased from KorganarSmolderforge in the Gladiator's Refuge for 3 Marks of Honor each.
- Shadowlands scaled items can now be disenchanted in Chromie Time.
- Momentum Redistributor Boots (Shadowlands) can no longer be used indungeons and raids.
- To make it clear who is providing which materials, crafting orders now showicons representing the crafter and customer next to each reagent. A message alsoappears above the Start Order button if the customer didn’t provide some or all reagents.
- Player Name column widened to make more room for realm names in the craftingorders list.
- The undo button for adding optional reagents moved inside the optional reagent flyout.
- Adjusted the alignment of Crafting Order prices.
- Currency on the public order page is now right aligned.

Profession Changes in Dragonflight Patch 10.0.5
Patch 10.0.5 introduces a slew of Profession updates.
- All Professions have had their requirements to unlock specializations reduced.Professions with 3 specialization trees have reduced their final unlockto Profession Level 75 (was 100). All Professions with 4 specialization treeshave had their final two unlocks reduced to Profession Level 60/75 (was 75/100).
- Portals from Overload Titan-Touched nodes should more consistently takeyou to a new location.
- Overload Elemental Deposit and Overload Elemental Herb has been slightlyredesigned — Overloading is now taught to all Miners and Herbalists aftercollecting their first Elemental-themed node. Mastering the Elements unlockpoint now restores the Overload cooldown reduction functionality.
- Profession requirements for many transmog-eligible pieces have been adjustedor removed. Most items that previously required a Profession other thanEngineering no longer has a requirement. Engineering items have reduced their skill requirement to 1 of their appropriate expansion. Gnomish andGoblin Engineering are no longer required to transmog any Engineering appearances.The acquisition method for all of these items remains unchanged.
- Warlords of Draenor crafted item appearances are back. You can buy recipesfor Optional Reagents for each relevant Profession from the vendors in yourGarrison or in Ashran that cost Secret of [Profession] tomes, the olddaily cooldown craft. Use the Optional Reagents when crafting Warlords of Draenorcrafted gear to convert them into the new appearance.
- Legacy Leatherworking patterns for Heavy Scorpid gear once againdrop from Blackrock Orcs in the Burning Steppes.
- Pattern: Raptor Hide Harness and Pattern: Raptor Hide Beltcan now both be learned by players of either faction.
- The legacy recipe for Goldthorn Tea now drops in Razorfen Downs.
- The Crafting UI Panel has been updated with a track recipe checkbox availablefor recrafting.
- "Open All" for crafting order mail will auto-delete the mail afterreceiving the item.
- You can reject orders by right-clicking on them under the Personal Orders tab.
- A confirmation dialogue will appear when placing crafting orders for itemsthe player cannot equip.

A Brief Overview of the Profession System in Dragonflight
The following section briefly explains what is new for Professions inDragonflight.
- RevampedProfession User Interface: The Profession UI has been reworkedfrom the ground up.
- ProfessionSpecializations: Allow crafters to specialize in theirprimary crafting and gathering professions once they have reached a high enoughskill.
- Crafting Orders are new items that allow you to request for anotherplayer to craft something for you, while Recrafting lets you recraft an item in an attempt to make it better.
- Crafting and Gathering Quality: Many crafted and gathered reagentsnow have a crafting quality.
- New Crafting Stations: The goal for these stations is to helpincrease the immersion and fantasy of your chosen Profession and enhancesocial experience.
- Profession Stats and Gear: Secondary Professionstats affect crafting and gathering in various ways.
- Reagent Bags and Updated Stack Sizes: Additional inventory updateshave been made regarding Professions.
- Prospecting and Milling Updates: Milling and Prospecting are nowlisted in each expansion-specific version of Alchemy andJewelcrafting that you have learned.

Dragonflight Profession User Interface
The Professions UI has undergone significant changes in Dragonflight,providing more details to crafters at first glance.
- Crafting Reagents now have their source indicated in the tooltip.
- Many reagents now have a new Quality attribute depicted by the numberof diamonds below their tooltip. You can automatically select the best-qualityreagents when crafting an item.
- A First Craft mechanic was implemented which allows players to gain Artisan's Mettle, a special reagent and one crafting skill, incentivizingcrafting all items at least once.

Profession Specializations in Dragonflight
Crafters can specialize in primary crafting and gathering Professions inDragonflight. Specialization Knowledge is earned through variousactivities and is spent on improving different areas of your Professionpermanently.
Profession Specializations offer one of the main ways crafters candifferentiate themselves from their peers, as there are many areas of eachprofession to specialize in.

Crafting Orders and Recrafting in Dragonflight
Crafting Orders let you request other players to craft something for youeven if you do not have the necessary skill or Profession to do it yourself.
You can browse any recipes that can be crafted, pick an item, andeven include some or all the reagents needed.
You can find someone in person who crafts the desired item right infront of you, or you can go to an NPC, which uses an Auction-House-likeinterface to send orders out.
Crafting Orders can be opened to the public for anyone to pick up, or you cansend them to your friends, guildmates, or specific players.
You can also recraft items to improve them and take Recrafting Orders (similarto Crafting Orders).

9.
Quality of Crafted Items in Dragonflight
Quality is a new attribute introduced for crafted items and gatheredreagents. If you craft something that is higher quality, the piece of gear willbe better. Pieces of gear will have a higher item level, potions will have amore powerful effect, and so forth.
The crafting UI has been reworked and adds stats specifically to yourprofessions for both crafting and gathering.
Crafted equipment has five levels of possible quality, while othercrafted and gathered items, such as potions and ores, will have three levelsof quality.
9.1.
Item Quality and Crafted Equipment
For crafted equipment, quality primarily modifies item level, with each levelof quality increasing it by a small portion. For example, a piece of crafted levelinggear will have item level 306 at rank 1, 308 at rank 2, 310 at rank 3, 313at rank 4 and 316 at rank 5, respectively.
9.2.
Item Quality and Consumables
For crafted items like consumables, the effects of quality are more varied.A higher quality consumable mostly results in a more powerful effect. Sometimes, it comes in other variation forms, such aslonger duration or more charges.

Crafting Stations in Dragonflight
Crafting stations for all Professions can be found in Valdrakken,providing a great way for crafters to meet up in the city or for other playersto find a crafter if they want to meet face-to-face.

Profession Stats and Gear in Dragonflight
Dragonflight adds secondary Profession stats withvarious effects (faster craft, better items, more items, etc.) when craftingor gathering. These stats can be found on Profession-specific pieces of gear.

12.
Reagent Bags and Updated Stack Sizes
A new reagent bag is available for everyone in Dragonflight. Reagentbags are only intended for reagents and follow the same rules as the reagent bank.The bag exists in a dedicated bag slot, saving up inventory space.
The maximum stack size for most crafted and gathered items in Dragonflighthas been dramatically increased. Gathered reagents now stack to 1,000 (up from 200)and consumables stack to 200 (was 20).
13.
Prospecting and Milling Changes
Dragonflight introduced some changes to Milling and Prospecting.The recipes are now listed in each expansion-specific version ofAlchemy and Jewelcrafting that you have learned. Theserecipes allow you to select which herb/ore you wish to mill or prospect fromthat expansion, then select create or create all to consumeas many or as few of them as you want with a single click.
