  He is passionate about his class topics. We had two exams which he makes himself. He puts together a lecture for each week and it's required for you to respond as it's your participation grade. we had about five assignments that reflect your readings and lectures. He grades far but also knows his stuff so you better as well. Super nice guy!!

  I really enjoyed taking this class Professor Villa is very engaged with his students and is passionate about the material he's teaching which makes the experience more enjoyable for me. Typically with a hands off online class teachers become MIA and are not engaged what so ever. That was not the case for Professor Villa. Definitely would recommend

  The textbook was free & informational. We had to write four 3-4 page papers and 1 big reseach paper. It was mostly self taught but I enjoyed his video lectures to bring things together. He gives good feedback on your work and participating in discussions was easy. If you put in the effort you can get an A.

  Professor Villa is honestly one of my favorite professors I've had. I went into this class just looking to get a humanities credit and came out of it having learned much more about our country than I ever would have. His teaching style is simple yet effective. Be prepared for long writing assignments and an even longer research paper.

  I took the seven weeks course for CH 202 and it was the worst!!! This professor was never specific on the syllabus and had little detail on the assignments. I would recommend not to take his class and go with someone else.

  I took this class for a core humanities credit, and this professor was never specific on the syllabus. He expects you to be perfect on essays and docks you down points if you only have one spelling error.

  Great teacher, very knowledgable & passionate. Free online textbook. Not much homework at all, but 4 essays, midterm, and final. Do okay on those and don't miss a lot of class, its a breeze. Took the final a month early and played the board game Twilight Struggle for rest of semester, which was fun and low stress. Highly recommend

  Great professor! He really cares about his students and is passionate about the topic. Midterm and Final are open note, book and internet. Only assignments are writing a few lengthy papers. Also gives you chocolate for participation. Highly recommend.

  Villa is amazing, very understanding of students and willing to work with you if you have any problems. The midterm and final are both fairly easy (open note, open book, open internet). He leaves comments one all of the papers and is willing to talk with you if you do not understand.

  Hes a great professor. Funny, into college football. He is engaged and at the end of the semester, we played a board game called the twilight struggle. There is minimum assignments such as essays. No homework.

  I loved him when I took his class. He had three papers that he assigned, and most of them were pretty easy. His lectures are great, he's really passionate about everything. He's also really funny. He likes to throw chocolate at people who answer his questions during lectures. The last part of his CH 203 class is basically just playing a board game.

  Definitely one of the best professors Ive had. Hes more than willing accommodate, and makes boring material fun. Two papers both 3-4 pages. Midterm and final are straight out of lecture and the book, and all notes are allowed during the exams. And the last few weeks of the term are spent playing an epic strategy game.

  Amazing Professor his lectures are fascinating and as a plus, if you get an answer right while he asks a question, you get free candy. Overall his class was very enjoyable and at the end of the semester, you get to play a game about the Cold War, which is much more fun than it sounds.

  I believe he really wanted his students to pass his class and tried his best to give interesting history lectures. He gives good feedback on the papers but will be checking your grammar like a hawk, so use that grammarly!!

  This class was so much fun! Paul is fantastic. He is passionate about history and is very funny. He is polite and makes the class very fun. There were five papers and only a midterm exam. If everyone showed up on final exam day, we didn't have to take the exam. Also, We played a board game reenacting the Cold War during the last month of class.

  He is a tough grader. He is really big on Grammer, the tests are open book, open Note, Open electronics but the test are based on the Book alone to try to keep up with the Readings, He is super Funny, and a really nice person.

  He's Great! I took his 203 course because it was required, and took his 202 course because he really made me love history. Also, in 202 the class plays diplomacy which really helps you understand Europe's conflicts and culture. Definitely one of my favorite professors of all time. Focal grade are the essays, but they are easy if you pay attention

  Amazing teacher. Clear grading, no reviews for mid term or final. Totally understanding if you talk to him, and he also loves what he does. About 5 papers during the semester. I would most deffinetly recomend him!

  The only down side of this class was the fact that there were so many papers to write. Aside from all of that, his love of history is very apparent. He's a great dude and he's pretty funny. While the test and papers were not hard, the papers were numerous. Just participate in his class and you'll probably get an easy B.
