  I really enjoyed her class this semester. She's super straight forward with homework and lectures, and super super caring towards all of her students- she genuinely wants you to learn and love the language. I would definitely recommend her for any beginner Spanish speaker.

  She was really nice! As long as you do the work, its super easy. If you fall behind, then its a little harder. A lot of the work is online, but honestly you can just do most of it in class. She is super chill and as long as you communicate with her. There's one oral exam and two tiny papers per unit. Really Isn't to bad.

  Its ALL do it yourself. If you like that, which I do, I thought the class was super easy for credit. If you can keep up with the work which is generally about an hour a day (it starts to feel repetitive and like A LOTTT) you can do it!

  took her online spanish 212 class. all we did was work from the textbook in vhlcentral. there was no other supplemental work provided, besides daily announcements summarizing what assignments were to be done and providing some resources. class is very student-driven. very easy class if all you're looking to do is pass.

  Nancy was a great! I took her class during COVID-19 and we STILL followed the syllabus! She is very understanding and isn't a super strict grader. Her lectures help a lot, especially if you're moving on to a higher-level Spanish after 112. The work piles up if you wait too long to do it, so don't procrastinate! I recommend her to any new learner.

  I took Professor Faires in the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the school closed, class was reading the textbook at a snail's pace. I wasn't learning inside class, and Professor Faires wasn't helpful in the slightest. I asked about my grade because she doesn't use Canvas AT ALL, and it was obvious she didn't know. Terrible grader, no useful feedback.

  I would not recommend Professor Faires. She did the bare minimum, and basically fed the answers to everyone in class with no chance for us to really learn Spanish as a language. Her lectures were pointless and boring, as all she did was read through the vocabulary and did a few online activities.

  Nancy is one of the sweetest professors I have ever had. She knows what she is talking about, and understands what your level of Spanish is. She doesn't grade on how many you got correct, but rather that you did it. If you do the work, the class is an easy A.

  I absolutely loved Nancy shes is a great professor she cares alot about her students and is willing to work something out if theres an issue. I went out of the country for 3 weeks and needed to miss 6 classes and she was super understanding I have had her for two semesters of spanish 111 and spanish 112 i would take her class again if i could.

  She is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend her. She has the best sense of humor, and is very simpathetic when it comes to grading. If you turn in something late, if you have a good excuse, rarely will she mark it off. When she does mark things off, it's only a few points. Ella es un muy bien professora!

  Nancy is a great professor. It seems like her passion is to teach Spanish, and she will always make sure that you understand the material and will try to help you in every way she can. She gives out a large portion of homework per week but it just helps for your understanding. Tests are easy and online, homework is easy, and it is an easy A.

  Nancy was a really great teacher. She's taking a leave of absence next semester or else I would be taking her for Spanish 112 as well. Spanish is not easy for me, it is a subject that I have to work really hard at in order to wrap my mind around things. Nancy knew that I was struggling and went out of her way to make sure I didn't fall behind.

  Class is easy if you do your work! She is very flexible with late work and absences. No midterm or final just chapter tests which you can do at home so you don't stress out as much. If you are struggling she gives you options. Nancy is fantastic and anyone who is willing to put in effort can pass her class.

  Nancy is a great professor. I'll try to keep my negative bias about Spanish and my inability to grasp it to a minimum when I say that her class can still be tough at times. Be prepared to speak in front of the class, and a lot of work for outside of class. Overall, a good choice if you already have a fair understanding of Spanish.
