Here is a Checklist for Act 3 missable or unique gear in Baldur's Gate 3. This should help you follow and collect all the most powerful items to make the most out of your playthrough.
This is a work-in-progress and new functionality, leave any feedback in the comments!
How does it work?
No need for any registering or logins, with the current functionalities
The checklist persists on the same browser and doesn't disappear if you leave the page.
Hovering on an item will give additional information (I am still working on including all of it from game files)
You can click on the items, and some of them explain how to obtain them in greater detail.
Items highlighted with goldcolor, are important for many builds, and I recommend picking them up even if you are not making a specific build. They can become useful if you will do a respec.
The best Act 2 items in Baldur's Gate 3 are The Blood of Lathander, Killer's Sweetheart, and Darkfire Shortbow. These items are the most powerful for increasing damage, survivability, and mobility. Each gives you an edge on the battlefield, especially when playing on the highest difficulty.
The best Act 1 items in Baldur's Gate 3 are Silver Silver Sword of the Astral Plane, Adamantine Splint Armour, and Disintegrating Night Walkers. These items are the most powerful for increasing damage, survivability, and mobility.
This will be the point after which everything that happened before will be completely blocked, so players should take some time to level up before heading to Baldur's Gate. And the last point of no return in the game is Elder Brain.
1: Yes, going evil will have some companions leave you (specifically Karlach, Wyll, and Gale... though I think you can persuade Gale into staying.). In return you do get a couple evil companions. 2: While it is entirely possible to do an evil playthrough, doing so cuts out a massive portion of the game's content.
Your new eye gives you +1 on intimidation, but a disadvantage on perception checks and attacks against hags. Perception is an important stat in Baldur's Gate 3, so it depends on whether or not your party can pick up the slack or not.
Items of Rare quality have a distinct blue color scheme and are better than Uncommon items but not as good as Very Rare (purple) or Legendary (orange). There are some distinct Rare armor pieces in Act 1 of Baldur's Gate 3, but they become easier to buy or find as the game progresses into Acts 2 and 3.
Lann Tarv, Exxvikyap, and Roah Moonglow are some of the best merchants to keep an eye out for. These merchants offer a variety of items such as potions, spell scrolls, and unique armor & weapons.
The best Warlock Subclass is The Fiend. The Fiend grants the Dark One's Blessing passive at Level 1, which, upon killing an enemy, grants temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier and your level. At Level 6, you'll earn Dark One's Own Luck for a 1d10 to an Ability Check once per Short Rest.
It is the point at which the character understands that he or she has to act to right the wrong, and take a step forward into something from which there could be no return. Life will never be the same—the character knows it and the reader knows it, too.
Should you Let Astarion Bite You? Letting Astarion bite you is an easy way to get approval with him. The simple answer is yes, as the only downside is gaining the Bloodless debuff, while Astarion gains the Happy buff and his approval rating of you increases.
Upon another long rest, the ascended Astarion will give the player-controlled character the opportunity to turn into a vampire spawn by drinking a drop of his blood. While this will grant them access to the basic Vampiric Bite ability, they'll be much weaker than Astarion.
In all of Act 1, players will find no better Armor than the Adamantine Splint Armor, which requires Heavy Armor proficiency to be worn. Not only does it have a high AC of 18, but the additional effects of reducing any damage received by 2 and preventing crits are game-changing this early on.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a huge game. While the main path forward through each of its three acts may seem obvious, there are a lot of hidden paths and optional areas, which means there's a lot of missable content.
Shar's gauntlet is the true point of no return. Act 1 ends with going to Shadow Cursed Lands, but is still accessible until you finish the gauntlet, after which you completely lose access to the beginning area, underdark, and mountain pass. The very end of Shar's Gauntlet is the point of no return for act 1 locations.
What is the Best Light Armour in Baldur's Gate 3? The best light armour in Baldur's Gate 3 is Bhaalist Armor because it has 14 AC, can double piercing damage, and +2 to initiative rolls. This gives you the most damage potential overall than other options in the game.
Act 2 is when you get to the Shadowlands. Yeah, 7 is right around the average level for hitting up Act 2 (i.e. entering the Shadowlands). If you did absolutely everything possible you might even be 8, but generally speaking 7 is right about where you should be.
