It is absolutely possible for everyone to survive until the end of war without having killed anyone.

There are a total of 7 types of ending for each character. The ending can occur after the ceasefire, if all survivors die, or if the last playable character has abandoned the shelter.

The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle. How long is This War of Mine? When focusing on the main objectives, This War of Mine is about 11 Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 39 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

Characters can sleep on a bed during the day, recovering one level of tiredness for every 5 hours of sleep. A character with Determined Father trait needs only 2.5 hours of sleep to recover one level of tiredness.

Knife is more powerful than Shovel or Crowbar but weaker than a Hatchet. Other enemies will typically investigate the area after a successful stealth ambush. Players can still hide in hiding spots to avoid detection, potentially ambushing more enemies.

It just so happens that some locations in This War of Mine are home to good people or also similar innocent survivors (i.e. the Garage). If players steal from these kinds of locations, then whoever did the theft might incur a depression penalty.

"Military assault rifle fitted with a scope." A very rare ranged weapon. Can be considered the best gun in the game due to its range and damage, although the Assault Rifle may prove to be a better gun. You can get one by killing the snipers at the Construction Site.

It depends on what characters you begin with, but is something around 25-45 days. When the winter ends you know there is only a couple of days to finish the game.

Just keep him warm and fed. I think on the 2nd day the lady from the museum will come. Talk to her about medicine, on the next few days if you can not find medicine for Ruben, she (the lady from the museum) will bring 2 (or 3) for you. With 2 medicine, Ruben will be able to move and start the preparation to move out.

How to unlock the Avoid the worst achievement. For this achievement just have 1 or 2 people on guard overnight whilst a child slept. When you are raided but they were unable to take anything or hurt anyone the achievement will unlock.

As hungry survivors function no less than ones at the Normal state, the player is recommended to feed survivors once every two days immediately when they reach the second level of the Hungry state, or the 1st level of very hungry state to save food.

Scavenge Facts

Scavenge begins at 8PM and ends at 5AM. Lethally Wounded, Broken, Exhausted, Drunk, and/or Terminally Sick survivors cannot partake in any Scavenge. If the survivor does not return to the exit by 5AM they do not return until later in the day, possibly with an injury suffered on the return.

There is no manual save and load button in This War of Mine. The game is automatically saved when the day changes, so if players wish to reload the previous day, they should close the game before it saves at night. Otherwise, people will be stuck with a game file they don't wish to keep.

In Java Edition singleplayer, you need to select the “Allow Cheats” option when you create the world. If you forgot to do that, it's possible to enable them temporarily by opening the game menu, selecting “Open to LAN” and ticking the “Allow Cheats” option and then clicking “Start LAN world”.

As of Version 2.0, Modding Tools are now part of the base game.
