How to make your base stronger in Subnautica? ›

Build bulkheads, reinforcements, and foundations for your base. They provide +3, +7, or +2 hull strength, respectively. Reinforcements are the most space-efficient way of doing this, and attach to the sides of I and T connectors (the sides that don't go anywhere), moonpools, and multi-purpose rooms.

To set up an outpost, use your scanner while on a planet and construct an Outpost Beacon by pressing [H] on keyboard or [X] on controller. Initially, you can have up to 8 outposts active at once. You can add more by investing points into the Planetary Habitation skill tree.

This base-building feature ultimately allows players to create a small station on nearly any planet they desire, and decorate it as they please. These planetary outposts in Starfield tend to be a great source of income, as they can serve as a farming and processing plant for resources.

If the outpost button is grayed out on your screen, it means you're in a restricted area and can't place a beacon down. Once you pull out the beacon, you'll need to decide where it goes. Your base is too weak to hold apart. Get some titanium (easy to get ) and lithium you should find it on the montain island. Use the habitat builder, pick reinforcement and build it on the multipurpose room if you have it of not build it on the side of the I compartment.
