My Singing Monsters Breeding Guide Overview & Tips
The basics of breeding in My Singing Monsters has players utilising the breeding structure which allows you to pair two monsters you currently own from an island that are level 4 or higher. The offspring of these monsters is based on the combinations of parents that you select (the order has no impact) with careful parent selection improving your chances to obtain a target monster or minimise the total breeding time required. While your first breeding challenges are relatively simple with common element monsters having many available My Signing Monsters combinations the rarer monsters require increasingly specific combinations or have low chances of success.
Other factors in optimising your MSM breeding journey include:
- As players have only limited breeding structures and time in order to optimise your breeding efficiency players will want to avoid breeding duplicate monsters through careful combination selection.
- Players can purchase additional breeding structures to breed multiple monsters at once.
- Breeding structures can be upgraded to enhanced versions for diamonds that reduces overall breeding time by 25%.
- Higher level monsters have an increased chance of resulting in a rare breeding outcome.
- The MSM breeding time shown in game can be used as an indicator of what players have just breed prior to finishing the breeding process as most monsters have a unique breeding time that players can use to determine if they have been successful in their intended goal.
- The elements of MSM monsters is the foundation of the basic breeding combinations with mixing and matching the right combination of elements from your current monster pool resulting in the desired breeding outcome.
- Players can light the Wishing Torches (sometimes referred to as breeding torches) on islands by spending diamonds or visiting friends that improves your odds for breeding rare MSM monsters
- Many MSM monsters can only be bred or purchased during limited events this includes Seasonals and the rare or epic variants of normal monsters.
- Rarely when breeding a duplicate monster players may obtain a new costume for a monster which is shown on the book of monsters screen.
My Singing Monsters Breeding Chart Guide – All Monster Types
The breeding combination featured here are the best option based on the My Singing Monsters breeding mechanics and my personally recommendations. While there are some other breeding options I’ve condensed this list to optimise for both breeding times, odds and monster accessibility to ensure a smooth breeding journey. If you currently don’t have the necessary monsters for the best breeding combination this is generally an indicator that at your current stage of progression you should be focusing on different monsters first.
Note that all times are shown as the default breeding time without any breeding structure upgrades which are purchased with diamonds to unlock the enhanced breeding structure. Monsters that currently don’t exist are also indicated and will be updated when they are added by the MSM developer.

Single Element Monsters (Common & Rare)
Single element monsters are available from the market store for gold coins with players utilising these as the foundation of their double element breeding. In general these monsters are the first you’ll be exposed to in My Singing Monsters and as a result require low investment to level up and breed. They are also often referred to as natural monsters due to their links to the base game elements of earth, water, cold, plant or air (fire has historically been a natural element although is currently considered separate).

Note that the rare variants of the Wublins (Poewk, Brump, Zynth, Dwumrohl, Blipsqueak, Tympa, Creepuscule and Thwok) are obtained by evolving their common counterpart and spending a specified number of keys.

He’s embraced every note and beat of the franchise’s evolution and his heart has been forever captivated by the enchanting melody that mixes monster collection, island customisation, music creation and a large community chorus.
He particularly enjoys the unique music theme and composition mechanics that allow him to create tunes and beats despite his lack of musical ability. His favourite game is the original MSM which he is currently replaying on Steam as he attempts to complete every game island monster collection.
