What is Rutabaga?
Rutabaga is a large and rotund root vegetable with a sweet earthy flavor. Originating as a cross between a cabbage and a turnip, it is an inexpensive and readily available vegetable.
The root bulb can be prepared in a wide variety of ways, and the tops can even be eaten as a leaf vegetable.Known as swede in most of the UK and as neeps in Scotland, it is quite a popular vegetable to serve in Scotland on Burns Night.
Instant Pot Swede Mash Cooking Time
Cooking swede in the Instant Pot for approximately 5 mins is best, but do let it cook for 8 mins if the cubes are cut a little larger.
