For three years, Ted Lasso took audiences by storm with its quick wit and heartwarming plotlines. The sitcom tells the story of Ted Lasso, an American football coach who moves to England to coach the soccer team, AFC Richmond. In fact, the two form a bond that is distinctly different from those in the rest of the series. They have a sort of will-they-won't-they energy that makes the show even more enticing.

Despite his antisocial attitude, Roy learns to rely on his teammates and be vulnerable around his peers. Though he often faces backlash for this, Roy stays true to himself and AFC Richmond.

The final actor whose contract has been renewed for Ted Lasso season 4 is Jeremy Swift. Swift plays AFC Richmond's Director of Operations, Leslie Higgins. Throughout Ted Lasso, Higgins has always been a constant. Like every Ted Lasso character, he has grown from a timid and sneaky figure into a loving and happy individual. Though certainly not the most important character, Higgins brings some wonderful humor and quirky plotlines. Ted Lasso's ensemble would not be the same without him.
In Ted Lasso season 3, audiences got some sneak peeks into Higgins' personal life, including his large family and his love of jazz. These were awesome additions that helped flesh out Higgins' character and gave him a bit more to do on screen. Hopefully, in Ted Lasso season 4, Higgins can continue to show off lesser-known parts of himself. Maybe the new season will be the perfect opportunity to give Higgins a bit of screentime on his own.

Of course, the first person they want to bring back on is Jason Sudeikis. The American comedian plays the eponymous Ted Lasso, an idealistic and upbeat coach who uses his enthusiasm to lead AFC Richmond to victory. Without a doubt, Ted is the core of the show. Ted Lasso certainly would not be the same without its namesake.

Ted Lasso season 3 marks a satisfying end for the titular character, begging the question of how the show could continue without Jason Sudeikis.
Unsurprisingly, Ted went through various personal problems in Ted Lasso season 3. Another actor Apple wants to get a new contract with is Brendan Hunt. Hunt plays Coach Beard, Ted's quirky and intelligent assistant coach. Like Higgins, Beard isn't the most significant character in Ted Lasso, but he helps ramp up the comedy. Despite his straight and narrow appearance, Beard is incredibly strange, with a chaotic personal life. This is proven by the episode Beard After Hours in Ted Lasso season 2. Overall, Beard adds an extra layer of drama to the show, but also provides Ted with some much-needed support and wisdom when things get tough.
Beard's return would be a pleasant addition to Ted Lasso season 4. At the end of season 3, Beard married his girlfriend Jane and remained in Richmond. This leads audiences to assume he will remain with Richmond as Roy becomes the team's new manager and Nate returns as coach. Brendan Hunt's return will only help Ted Lasso season 4 feel more like a regular season. However, on the other hand, if Hunt chooses not to return, it would not be the biggest loss that Ted Lasso could face.

Throughout three seasons, audiences saw Keeley grow from a stylish and opinionated girlfriend to the CEO of her own PR firm. Keeley's journey is one of the most exciting to watch, though it is also the most disappointing in some ways. As previously mentioned, her love triangle with Roy and Jamie became a messy aspect of Ted Lasso's ending.
However, Ted Lasso season 4 can get Keeley back on track. With a new season, Keeley can get back to her work with AFC Richmond. Notably, at the end of season 3, she suggested starting a women's soccer team. Perhaps in Ted Lasso season 4, Keeley can continue this endeavor, which would add more amazing cast members to the show. Furthermore, Keeley can figure out her romantic life in Ted Lasso season 4, which would help clear up any leftover disappointment from previous Ted Lasso seasons.
With members of the original cast already returning, this can be exactly what the sports comedy needs to make a great Ted Lasso season 4. Now, audiences just need to cross their fingers that the rest of the cast will also return. From there, Ted Lasso can (hopefully) return to its former glory.
