A federal district judge has cleared a former employee of Dave Ramsey’s company to question the radio personality under oath in a lawsuit over his July of 2020 firing.
Through his attorneys, Ramsey tried multiple times to block the deposition, citing a still-pending motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Brad Amos, a former employee of Ramsey’s Nashville-area financial education company, Ramsey Solutions. But judge Eli Richardson of the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee ruled against Ramsey’sefforts to block his questioning in a May 22 opinion.
Ramsey, an evangelical Christian, has opposed mask-wearing and other Covid restrictions.Amos is alleging in his federal lawsuit thatRamsey Solutions fired him fortaking preventative measures against the spread of Covid, including working from home. Amos is arguing that the firm required him to work from its office during the pandemic, which he claims violated his religious beliefs.
