Make things easier for yourself by investing in products that can transform your look in a hurry and without too many tools. Eyeshadow sticks are the ultimate ‘lazy girl’ must-have, delivering maximum colour with minimum effort. So, which are the best ones to buy for party season and beyond? Top Tips For Your Shadow Sticks
Prep Your Lids
Before applying your eyeshadow stick, ensure your eyelids are clean and dry. For better colour payoff and longevity, consider using an eyeshadow primer or a thin layer of concealer on the lids first.
Direct Application
Eyeshadow pencils are designed for easy use. Simply swipe the pencil directly onto your eyelids, starting from the inner corner and moving to the outer corner. You can apply it all over the lid or just along the lash line, depending on your desired look.
Blend
Use your fingertip to blend the colour for a seamless finish, as the warmth from your fingers helps the product meld into your skin
Layering
For a more statement look, consider using two shades of eyeshadow pencil. Start with a lighter shade on the entire lid, then apply a darker shade at the outer corners and blend it inward. This technique adds dimension to your eyes.
Line It
Eyeshadow pencils can double as eyeliners. After applying your base colour, you can use a darker pencil along your lash line to define your eyes further.
Finishing Touches
After applying and blending your eyeshadow pencil, complete your eye makeup with mascara to enhance your lashes and draw attention to your eyes. This final step ties everything together and elevates your overall look. But remember that mascara is harder to apply on the move than your eyeshadow stick, so you might want to add that in the loos once you arrive!
