How does parking at Soldier Field work? ›

There are several options for parking around Soldier Field. The North Garage, Waldron Deck and the South Parking Lot are reserved for those with season coupon parking for Bears Event Days. All other events are open to cash parking and pre-purchased parking at www.SoldierFieldParking.com.

We strongly encourage all fans to arrive as early as possible to avoid delays. Parking lots open six hours prior to kickoff. Parking spaces are limited and tailgating must be confined to a small area around your vehicle. Traffic lanes and adjacent parking spaces cannot be blocked at any time.

You must enter via the gate listed on your digital general parking pass. For fans who did not purchase directly through Army West Point Athletics, please enter through Washington Gate on gameday. ADA parking is only available via the Stony Lonesome Gate. Please have your ADA placard visible upon entry.

If you are going to Soldier Field to watch a Bears game, then you'll want to get a parking space in the Waldron Parking Garage. It is just south of the field.

If you are wondering where you can tailgate at Soldier Field, tailgating is only allowed in 31st Street McCormick Place Lot B, the Alder Planetarium Lot and the Burnham Harbor Lot.

How long before a football game does tailgating start? The kickoff time for a tailgate is set by the stadium policies and you. Parking lot gates typically open two to three hours before kickoff or earlier, but the length of your visit is entirely up to you.

Tailgating takes place at Soldier Field in the South Parking Lot. 11:00am - 4:30pm - NFL/Bears Rules will apply. No tailgating allowed past the first quarter. All patrons must enter the stadium or exit the parking lot.

No beer is available inside the stadium, but you can buy beer and food at Black Knights Alley, and the Benny Havens Band plays there before games. Grant Hall. A reinforced coffee shop located just outside the Cadet Areas on Thayer Road. As a visitor, this is your best chance to see cadets going about their daily lives.
