Admission process

Follow these steps to complete your admission to the University of Arkansas

  1. Apply

    Complete and submit the online application for admission. You may also apply through Common App. Visit the apply now section below for more details.
  2. Submit Official Transcripts

    Send the Office of Admissions official copies of transcripts showing all previous academic coursework. High school transcripts can be sent through a transcript delivery service or sent from your high school by email to uofa@uark.edu. Transfer Students should send college transcripts to the Office of the Registrar.
  3. Send Additional Materials

    Depending on your application, you may be required to provide additional materials such as fee waiver documentation and proof of residency.
  4. Submit Test Scores

    The U of A offers test optional admission for most students, so you can apply and be admitted without ACT or SAT scores. But keep in mind, most scholarship opportunities continue to require test scores, and all admitted students should share scores with the Office of Admissions for placement and enrollment purposes.
  5. Check Your Status

    Follow the status of your application by visiting your New Student Center. Check in here to view a list of materials we need, to apply for scholarships and to connect with your admissions counselor.

Setting Up a New Student Center Account

  1. Select “First-time users” to create an account to start a new application.

  2. Enter the requested information. Use a personal email address that you will have access to at all times, even after graduation.

  3. Check your email for a message from the Office of Admissions with the subject line “Account Created - University of Arkansas Undergraduate Admissions,” and follow the steps listed there. Take note of the PIN included in this message – it is your temporary password to activate your account.

  4. Follow the “Activate Account” link in this message to activate your account and establish a password.

If you applied using the Common App, set up your New Student Center Account using the same email address associated with your Common App application.

Forgot your password or lose your PIN?

Visit the reset password page for returning users. Do not create an account using a separate email address. If you need help, please call 479-575-5346.

If you don’t receive an account set up email with the subject line “University of Arkansas Online Registration,” be sure to check your spam folder. We also recommend adding uofa@uark.edu to your email contacts list to avoid important emails being delivered to the wrong folder. If the email isn’t in your spam folder, use the “Forgot Password” feature to receive a new email.
