One of the things I absolutely love about East Goes Global is how few of us are navigating this space (this space being China) I could count the top teams on one hand—and we all know each other. But here's the thing: I'm not just aware of them, I'm cheering them on. When one of us wins, we all benefit. The more success we see collectively, the bigger the opportunities for everyone, and the more exciting the market becomes. It’s an amazing feeling to be part of something where collaboration fuels growth. 🚀

Ever wonder how East Goes Global came to be? Here's the (shortened) version of my journey.Seven years ago, I took a leap and started a small social media agency focused on Chinese platforms for Western artists. Fast forward to today, East Goes Global has grown into a leading force, helping Talent, Brands, and Sports connect with Chinese consumers worldwide and grow their businesses internationally. The spark? It all began in 2017 while I was working at the incredible artist-first management firm, MDDN, founded by the dynamic duo, Joel & Benji Madden—entrepreneurs, artists, dads, and visionaries. I was part of the team managing Jessie J when she agreed to compete on Hunan TV’s Singer, one of China's most-watched shows.Cue the plot twist: In our second day of production meetings, the producers emphasized that Western social media channels weren’t accessible in China (which I knew) and they insisted Jessie needed to be active on Weibo (the premier platform at the time). After sifting through countless overpriced and underwhelming options when trying to find a team to help, I decided to take on the challenge myself. Within weeks, Jessie’s Weibo account exploded with hundreds of thousands of followers, and brands were lining up for collaboration opportunities—just through her CHINESE channels.I was hooked. Why?•We went from $0 to 7-figure brand deals in weeks.•The lack of quality Chinese social media teams based in the U.S. was shocking.•The growth was beyond anything I'd seen.I couldn’t shake the idea of launching a firm dedicated to helping Western artists expand their social presence and branding in China. So, I went for it.After Jessie made history by winning Singer as the first international artist, I returned to the States, restless with excitement. That was my tipping point. I gave my two weeks' notice and launched East Goes Global.Within a few months, I made my first hires, expanded to multiple platforms, and started working with clients beyond music—including names like Will Smith. Today, we manage 700+ channels, have grown our clients' followings to over 200M+, and are generating millions for them annually by unlocking the potential of the Chinese market. Here’s a behind-the-scenes pic from Singer nearly seven years ago with Jessie and some of China’s biggest artists 🤗

Reflecting on my journey, I’m incredibly proud of how I transitioned from the music industry while staying connected to it.Seven years ago, music was my entire world. During college, I juggled seven different music industry internships and odd jobs—my favorite being a radio DJ. I studied music management at Syracuse (go 'Cuse), graduated, and became a manager. I had the privilege of working with incredible talents like Zayn, Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, Life of Dillon (the first band I managed), Good Charlotte, Chase Atlantic, Hollywood Undead, and my last management gig (alongside the Madden bros) before diving into entrepreneurship: Jessie J.When I launched East Goes Global, my initial clients were all artists. Being immersed in that bubble, I couldn’t envision a world beyond music. But within a few months, leveraging my network in the music industry, I began expanding outside of the world of music.Fast forward to today, and East Goes Global has expanded our reach exponentially. We now work with artists, actors, models, influencers, podcasters, gamers, athletes, sports teams, brands—you name it. Every. Single. Vertical. Leaving the music industry helped me broaden my perspective and appreciate the bigger picture. The takeaway? Sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone (and for me, it was starting a new business) is essential to truly see the world around you.

I've always loved our old colors, logos, and typefaces but, after nearly 7-years, I knew it was time for a change... Staying true to our roots, our iconic (depending on who you ask lol) 'eggs' have grown up. Most people never realized but the icons were eggs because of the acronym for East Goes Global... It was that simple. Now, we're paying a nod to those eggs that got us to where we are today. Today, they represent the forward momentum of our three pillars of business: Talent | Brands | SportsOur updated typeface is strong, mature, and distinct. All traits built upon who we are as a team. Our updated colors are still very bold, but engaging... When thinking of our old colors, I knew I wanted something different. Funny enough, my own LinkedIn page highlights SEVEN DIFFERENT COMPANIES (previous employers/internships) with the same former colors... Red, White, and Black. I am so proud of this final product here. Thank you Matthew Schirripa 🙏
