There are many fictional characters out there and sometimes we wonder how many characters are out there with certain (insert letter here). Because of that, we decided to make a cool list of fictional characters that start with the letter “Q”. We will include every name we know, and if we miss some, please don’t blame us. All jokes aside, this is our list of fictional characters that start with the letter “Q”. We will include some characters with Queen in their name because the royal title is truly their name. If a character has a proper name beside a royal title, we won’t include them on this list.
1. Quinn Fabray (Glee)
Quinn Fabray is one of the protagonists of the popular teen show called Glee. At first, she was an antagonist, but after life hit her hard, she changed her ways. She is part of the cheerleading group called Cheerios, and being the lead cheerleader, Quinn became really cruel towards other students of McKinley High School, especially Rachel Berry.
2. Quagmire (Family Guy)
Glenn Quagmire is a sex-crazed, perverted neighbor of the Griffins family. He met Peter Griffin in the army and currently works as an airline pilot. He has the catchphrase “all right”, with his signature head rocking back and forth. He constantly hits on Lois, Peter’s wife, and most of the series is really annoying.
3. Quasimodo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Quasimodo is the main character and protagonist of Disney’s animated film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He is born with several deformities and of which people condemned him to be the bell-ringer of the Notre-Dame church. Because he is isolated most of the time, he wishes he can go outside and enjoy the world like the rest of the people.
4. Quicksilver (Marvel)
Pietro Maximoff is known as one of the fastest men alive in Marvel Comics. Twin brother of Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlett Witch, make these two as one of the most iconic superhero siblings who were on both sides of the “fence” – good and evil. At first, Magneto’s children, these two siblings’ backstory got retconned, and now are orphans from Sokovia.
5. Queen of Hearts (Disney)
The main antagonist of Disney’s 1951 animated feature film, Alice in Wonderland. She is a deranged and insane ruler of Wonderland, who has a weird obsession with beheadings. She becomes obsessed with beheading Alice, who enters the kingdom and accidentally humiliates the Queen.
6. Quentin Beck (Marvel)
Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio, is an archnemesis of Spider-Man in Marvel Comics. He was a stuntman and special effects expert who eventually became blacklisted in the industry because of his mishaps. Of course, Spider-Man was at fault for him and decided to kill the superhero himself. One of the biggest supervillains of Spider-Man.
7. Quinn Pensky (Zoey 101)
Quinn Pensky is one of the main characters of Nickelodeon’s notable teen show Zoey 101. She is the best friend of Zoey, the main character of the show, and Lola Martinez. She is a quite clever girl and is usually working on her inventions that her friend is calling “Quinnventions”.
8. Quirinus Quirrell (Harry Potter)
Quirinus Quirrell was a professor and a half-blood wizard who taught and studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was also part of the Ravenclaw House. He was laughed at a lot and his being insecure, brought him in hands of the evil wizard Voldemort, who used him to kill Harry Potter.
9. Quirrel (Hollow Knight)
One of the characters from the game Hollow Knight, Quirrel is mostly a curious and simple observer. However, he is also an inquisitive explorer who values and is fascinated by the myths of Hallownest. He cannot even explain it by himself.
10. Quentin Compson (The Sound and the Fury and Absalom, Absalom!)
Quentin is a fictional character created by famous American writer William Faulkner. He is the intelligent and neurotic part of the Compson family. Besides two classic novels mentioned, his character was also featured in short stories called “That Evening Sun” and “A Justice”. In novels and short stories, Quentin goes to Harvard College to study but unfortunately commits suicide.
11. Quentin Larry Lance (Arrow)
Quentin Lance was a supporting character on CW’s DC superhero show Arrow. He is a mayor and a former police detective and the father of Sara and Laurel Lance. He is also the former husband of Dinah Lance, from whom he separated when his younger daughter Sara disappears with Oliver Queen.
12. Quentyn Martell (A Song of Ice and Fire)
Quentyn Martell is a second child and the oldest son of Doran Martell, a Prince of Dorne, and Lord of Sunspear. He is described as intelligent, serious, and dutiful. He is actually sent to marry Daenerys Targaryen and bring her to Dorne, which she politely refuses after most of his companions die on the journey.
13. Quentin Quire (Marvel)
One of the smartest and strongest X-Men in the Marvel Universe, Quentin Quire is an Omega-level mutant who possesses advanced cognitive and telepathic abilities which grant him an abundance of various abilities. Emma Frost even said that his mind can produce several thousand “brilliant” thoughts a second.
14. Quentin Sainz (Suits)
Quentin Sainz was the CEO of Saint Pharmaceuticals, a drug company that produced various pharmaceutical products. One of them was controversial Amylinx, a drug that helps with ALS, which he had as well. In the end, he died of ALS after Harvey found out that Quentin’s girlfriend Lisa falsified some tests to save her lovers life.
15. Quentin Travers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Quentin Travers was a senior Watcher and one of the last Directors of the Watchers Council. He was a ruthless and strict individual whose missions were more important than the soldiers themselves. Regardless of those bad qualities, he was a great and determined leader.
16. Quentin Smith (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
Quentin Smith is a fictional character from the reboot of the classic A Nightmare on Elm Street. He has a lot of similarities with Glen Lantz, a character in the original film. He is a quiet, patient, and easy-going individual, and has a strong sense of morality.
17. Quentin Coldwater (Magicians)
Quentin Coldwater is a character from the book series and TV show Magicians. He was a New York Magician who attended Brakebills University. He was always an outsider – his awkwardness, insecurity, and tendency to overanalyze everything did not help his case at all.
18. Quentin Costa (Nip/Tuck)
Quentin Costa is a fictional character on the Nip/Tuck TV show. He is a plastic surgeon from Atlanta and was brought on to fix Sean McNamara’s face after an attack by Carver, a masked serial rapist. He is later revealed to be the antagonist and the Carver himself, together with his sister with whom he has a romantic relationship.
19. Quentin Fleming (American Horror Story)
Quentin Fleming is a fictional warlock and recurring character featured in the American Horror Story. Besides being a warlock, he is also a member of the witches’ council with Cecily Pembroke and Myrtle Snow.
20. Quiyana (League of Legends)
Empress of the Elements herself, lives in the jungle city of Ixaocan, where she plots her path to the high seat of Yun Tal. She is an expert in elemental magic and she takes on everyone who is standing in her way. Because of her skill, she thinks she deserves the whole empire. In the game, she is quite a menace in the jungle – invisibility, and burst of damage grant her that title.
21. Quinn (League of Legends)
Quinn with her partner Valor is also known as Demacia’s Wings. She is an elite ranger-knight of Demacia whose scouting ability grants her the ability to go deep into enemy territory. In the game, she was formerly an ADC but was converted to the ranged toplaner who harasses opposing brawler champions.
22. Q*Bert (Futurama and Q*bert Game)
This character is formerly a character from the arcade game first released in 1982. However, he was also featured in the popular TV show Futurama, where he helped invade the Earth from the planet Nintenduu 64. He is speaking backward.
23. Queen Bee (DC Comics)
This character was rebooted multiple times, and the last occasion the DC writers used was a huge New 52 event. Queen Bee was renamed H.I.V.E. Queen and even claims that she is Brainiac’s daughter. She has superhuman strength, speed, venomous darts, ability to release mind-confusing “pollen” powder. She is an antagonist of DC Universe.
24. Quakemaster (DC Comics)
Quakemaster, also known as Quakemaster, is a supervillain in DC Comics. He is a former architect from Gotham City whose building crashed after not being able to withstand a hurricane. His reputation got ruined and decided to become evil. He is associated with Lex Luthor and Brainiac.
25. Q (Street Fighter)
One of the playable characters in the Street Fighter series, and is one of the most mysterious characters of the series who only really appeared in Street Fighter III 3rd Strike in 1999. There is a similar character in Street Fighter V with similar moves and fans are speculating that G and Q are the same characters.
26. Q-Bee (Darkstalkers)
Q-Bee is a humanoid insect and one of the playable characters that debuted in 1997’s Darkstalkers 3. Unfortunately, she did not manage to squeeze into the roster of Marvel vs. Capcom games or other crossovers of a similar theme.
27. Quan Chi (Mortal Kombat)
Quan Chi is a Mortal Komabt character that appeared in the series multiple times, spanning from 1997 to 2015. Quan Chi is a sorcerer who can revive the dead and summon demons from the Netherrealm in Mortal Kombat X.
28. Queen Azshara (World of Warcraft)
Queen Azshara is an NPC in the World of Warcraft game, where she appears in different forms. She is always changing from a beautiful night elf to a feared Queen of Naga.
29. Queen Metroid (Metroid)
Queen Metroid is the final evolution of the Metroids so far. It debuted in 1991’s Metroid II: Return of Samus as the final boss and returned in the same role in the remake called Metroid: Samus Returns in 2017. It also appeared in Metroid: Other M from 2010.
30. Quina Quen (Final Fantasy)
Final Fantasy IX from 2000 presented us with the character of Quina Quen, who represents the Blue Mage Job Class in Final Fantasy IX and can fight using forks as weapons. They can even become stronger by eating frogs and absorbing magic by eating their opponents.
31. Quilladin (Pokémon)
Pokémon X and Y from 2013 presented us with 72 new Pokémon that marked the start of the 6th Generation. Quilladin in particular is the first evolution of the start Pokémon Chestnut, and it can evolve into Chesnaught when leveled up to 36.
32. Quill (Legend of Zelda)
Legends of Zelda’s character is once again on this list, this time that is Quill, the birdman-like creature and the postman for the people living around the Great Sea in the game. His task is to deliver important information to Link and even resues him at the Forsaken Fortress.
33. Quiet (Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain)
Quiet is truly an interesting character. She is a non-playable character in the Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain where she accompanies Venom Snake on his missions. She is called Quiet for a reason – she can only breathe through her skin, and because of that cannot wear that many clothes. She only uses Sniper Rifles and is mostly used as a scout and help during the game. Her role in Venom Snake’s story is quite important towards the end.
34. Quick Man (MegaMan)
Quick Man is one of the bosses and the Robots Masters in the MegaMan 2 game. The character had few comebacks, particularly in MegaMan: Battle & Chase from 1997, and Megaman 2: The Power Fighter from 1996.
35. Queen Slug-For-A-Butt (Earthworm Jim)
Queen Slug-For-A-Butt is quite an interesting character. She is the main antagonist of the original game called Earthworm Jim from 1994, and even though she is defeated, she returned to Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy in 1999.
36. Queen Rutela (Legend of Zelda)
Queen Rutela is a minor protagonist in the Legend of Zelda series and she only appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in 2006. Rutela was formerly a Queen of the Zora during her life, and in the afterlife still watches over her son.
37. Qrow Branwen (RWBY)
Qrow is a younger twin brother of Raven Branwen, biological uncle of Yang Xiao Long, and honorary uncle of Ruby Rose. Qrow’s weapon of choice is a scythe called Harbinger. He is involved with a secret brotherhood led by Ozpin, whose goal is to protect Remnant.
38. Queen Beryl (Sailor Moon)
Queen Beryl is the main antagonist and powerful character in Sailor Moon’s first season. She is the Queen of Negaverse and her goal is to release her mistress Negaforce to rule the world. At the end of Sailor Moon season one, Usagi in the form of Princess Serenity has beaten and overpowered Beryl and destroyed her forever.
39. Queen Serenity (Sailor Moon)
Queen Serenity is the mother of Princess Serenity and was a ruler of the Moon Kingdom and the Silver Millenium. Her main duty was to look after the Silver Crystal and raise her daughter to rule the kingdom in the future. She died using the Silver Crystal to send the deceased to eventually be reborn in the future.
40. Queen Nehelenia (Sailor Moon)
Besides White Moon which celebrated Silver Millenium, there was another one, and the ruler was called Queen Nehelenia. At first, an innocent woman later wanted to know what will happen in the future and if will she remain beautiful. When she found out that she will be old and ugly, Queen became paranoid and evil, which prompted her to find a Dark Moon Circus. She is the main villain of the first part of the Sailor Moon Stars season.
41. Queen Metallia (Sailor Moon)
The main antagonist of the first season of Sailor Moon, Queen Metallia is Beryl’s higher-up. Queen Serenity sealed Metallia in the Silver Millenium and Beryl tried everything to revive her by harvesting energy from the people of Earth. In the end, two queens merged and tried to kill Sailor Moon, but they failed.
