Thanksgiving is that time of year that I get to reflect on the year so far and think of all the things that I’m thankful for. After all, November 19 will be my birthday, so I’m thankful for life. I’m thankful for the day I started blogging, it has been a long steady journey.
It was 10 years ago that I embarked on this journey and it has been one of the most rewarding, life-changing paths. I’m thankful for my readers who have supported me on this journey, allowing me to share my love for cooking.

If you haven’t made apple pie, it is very easy to make. You can use my recipe for your crust, or use a store-bought one.
You can also use a variety of tart apples, such as Jonagold, Melrose or Winesap; and sweet apples, such as Gala, Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Braeburn in the recipe. I used a blend of vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. However, you can substitute a blend of cardamom and coriander for the cinnamon.
